Rows
Discontinued AI spreadsheet with data integrations, now part of Superhuman
Rows was an online spreadsheet with built-in data integrations and an AI Analyst; it shut down on 31 May 2026 after joining Superhuman.
Overview
Rows review
This Rows.com review covers what Rows did, its key features, its last published pricing, what happened to it, and which tools to use instead. Rows was a spreadsheet built for business data: it could pull live data from tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads and CRMs, let you analyze data with plain language prompts, and turn a sheet into a dashboard or form to share. On 22 February 2026 Rows announced that it would join Superhuman, and the product fully wound down on 31 May 2026 (Rows blog). You can no longer sign up, and existing workflows, integrations and scheduled refreshes have stopped. This page stays online so people searching for Rows find what it was and where its users went.
What is Rows used for?
Rows was used by marketing, finance and operations teams to build reports without a data team. Typical uses were marketing reports that combined Google Ads, social media and Google Analytics data, finance dashboards, KPI trackers, simple calculators and forms published on the web. Instead of copying data from other apps into a sheet, users connected business tools once and let the data refresh on a schedule. Rows says more than 2.2 million people used it, running over 17 billion spreadsheet functions and more than 8.3 billion imports from business tools (Rows blog).
Key features
- Spreadsheet with familiar formulas: cells, formulas and functions that anyone with basic spreadsheet skills already knows, with smart tables and editable tables instead of a single grid, so data entry and quick calculations felt like any other sheet.
- Data integrations: built-in connections to more than 50 apps, covering product, marketing and finance tools such as GA4, Search Console, ad platforms and CRMs, plus the option to pull data from custom APIs (Rows docs). You could also import data from files, up to a size set by your plan.
- Data tables and refresh: imported data landed in tables that could refresh daily or, on higher plans, every few minutes, so users could manage live datasets without copying data into cells by hand.
- AI Analyst: natural language prompts to create pivot tables, summaries, charts, forecasts and anomaly checks from raw data, plus AI tasks to classify text, extract data from PDFs and images, and generate content (Rows AI).
- Sharing and collaboration: real-time collaboration in one interface, and spreadsheets could be published as interactive dashboards, forms or calculators, or shared with guest members.
- API: a Rows API to read and write data programmatically.
Rows pricing
The last plans published on the Rows pricing page (still online in September 2026, although the product has shut down) were:
- Free plan: $0, 5 AI tasks a month, manual data imports, 10 integration accounts, 1 MB file imports.
- Plus plan: $8 per user per month, or $6 billed annually; 200 AI tasks, daily data table automation, 5 MB imports.
- Pro plan: $79 plus $8 per user per month, or $59 plus $6 per user billed annually; 1,000 AI tasks, minute-level automation, 100 integration accounts, 2 years of version history.
- Enterprise: custom pricing.
These prices are for reference only. The paid plans mainly added AI tasks, faster refresh and bigger datasets; the free plan was enough for personal sheets. Rows no longer takes new customers, so there is no plan to buy.
Rows AI Analyst: from raw data to insights
The AI Analyst was the feature most Rows reviews focused on. You selected raw data, asked a question in plain language, and Rows AI created a new table, pivot or chart with the answer. It supported advanced data analysis such as forecasts with a predictive model, anomaly detection and segmenting users, which usually needs formulas or code. The output landed in regular tables and cells, so users could keep editing it with formulas. AI tasks worked inside cells: classifying customer feedback, extracting fields from PDFs and images, and content generation for product or marketing text. For teams without an analyst, this AI powered analysis was the fastest way to analyze data and share insights (Rows AI).
What happened to Rows?
Superhuman, the company behind Superhuman Mail and Coda (formerly Grammarly), agreed to acquire Rows on 22 February 2026. Rows gradually sunset the product over three months and fully wound down on 31 May 2026. The Rows team joined Superhuman to work on Coda's data capabilities. Rows emailed current customers with account details and next steps, and support questions went to support@rows.com (Rows blog). If you still have Rows links in reports or websites, replace them: shared dashboards and published forms no longer update.
Moving from Rows to another tool
Start with what you used Rows for, then import data into the new tool. If it was the spreadsheet itself, Google Sheets or Excel with an add-on for data imports covers most workflows. If it was live marketing and finance data, a connector tool that feeds a spreadsheet or BI tool replaces the integrations. If it was the AI Analyst, AI features in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel now handle many of the same data analysis prompts. Coupler.io, a competitor, also lists Coupler.io (over 400 data sources), Julius AI (conversational data analysis), Quadratic (AI with inspectable Python or SQL code), Numerous.ai (AI tasks in Google Sheets and Excel) and Microsoft Copilot in Excel as Rows alternatives (Coupler.io). Rebuild your key reports first, then check formulas: most standard spreadsheet functions carry over, but Rows-specific integration functions do not.
Where Rows shines — and where it falls short
Strengths (while it was available):
- Live data from marketing and finance tools inside a familiar spreadsheet.
- An AI Analyst that turned raw data into tables and charts from plain language.
- One-click sharing as dashboards, forms or calculators.
- A useful free plan and low per-user prices.
Trade-offs:
- Discontinued: the product shut down on 31 May 2026 and can no longer be used.
- Fewer data sources than dedicated connector tools: about 50 apps, against 400 or more for Coupler.io, a competitor.
- Basic data transformation compared with BI and ETL tools.
How Rows compares
- Google Sheets: the most common replacement for the spreadsheet part, with add-ons for data imports.
- Coda: now part of Superhuman, where the Rows team works on data features.
- Airtable: a relational database with views, for structured data rather than analysis.
- Power BI: dashboards and reports on top of many data sources.
- Observable: data visualization notebooks for analysts who code.
Is Rows worth it?
Not any more: Rows shut down on 31 May 2026, so it is not an option for new projects. While it ran, it was a good fit for small teams that wanted marketing and finance data, AI analysis and shareable dashboards in one spreadsheet. Former users should move reports to Google Sheets, Excel or a BI tool, and use a connector tool for live data. If you need help rebuilding Rows reports elsewhere, the low-code agencies and developers on LowCodeDevs can take it on.

Questions
Rows FAQ
What is Rows AI?
Rows AI was the AI Analyst inside the Rows spreadsheet. It turned plain language prompts into pivot tables, summaries, charts and forecasts, and ran AI tasks such as classifying text or extracting data from PDFs.
Is Rows still available?
No. Rows joined Superhuman and fully shut down on 31 May 2026. New sign-ups are closed and integrations, refreshes and shared dashboards have stopped working.
How much did Rows cost per month?
Rows had a free plan. Plus cost $8 per user per month ($6 billed annually) and Pro cost $79 plus $8 per user ($59 plus $6 billed annually); Enterprise was custom.
Is Rows better than Excel?
For live data from business tools and quick shareable dashboards, Rows was easier than Excel. Excel remains stronger for complex models, offline work and large files, and unlike Rows it is still available.
What can replace Rows?
Google Sheets or Excel for the spreadsheet, a connector tool for live data imports, and a BI tool such as Power BI for dashboards. Coda is where the Rows team now works.
