Duda is a professional website builder for web agencies and SaaS platforms that build, host and manage many client websites at scale.
Overview
Duda review
This Duda website builder review covers what the platform is used for, Duda's features, Duda pricing, the agency and white label tools, Duda's AI tools and how Duda compares with other website builders. Duda offers a drag and drop site builder with responsive templates, web hosting, client management and ecommerce in one platform. Where most website builders target a single business owner, Duda's focus is the web designer or agency that runs multiple sites, often dozens or hundreds of client websites, on one Duda platform. In this Duda review we look at who it suits, what it costs and how it stacks up against other builders; our Duda website builder review focuses on agency use. The company was founded in 2009 by Itai Sadan and Amir Glatt and is based in Palo Alto, with research and development in Tel Aviv.
What is Duda used for?
Duda is used to build and run websites for other people. Web agencies and freelancers use it to build websites for clients quickly, hand clients limited editing rights and bill them monthly. SaaS companies and hosting providers use the white label version to offer website building to their own customers under their own brand. A typical Duda site is a local business website for professional services, restaurants, clinics, real estate and small online stores.
Single business owners can use the Duda website builder too, and the Basic plan fits one website. Still, Duda's focus is professional users rather than hobbyists, and that is what makes Duda stand out among other website builders. Reviewers such as PCMag describe it as having everything an agency needs and most of what a single-site owner wants.
Key features
- Drag and drop editor: Duda offers a section-based drag and drop editor with Flex mode for precise layouts using Flexbox and Grid, global design settings and per-device editing for mobile.
- Templates: Duda offers a library of responsive templates and pre-made sections by category. Duda's templates are sorted by industry, so a new Duda site starts from a design rather than a blank page. Duda's templates adapt to every mobile device, and Duda offers users a built-in photo editor and premium images for attractive websites.
- Dynamic pages: Duda lets you feed one page layout from a data collection, so many location, product or team pages come from a single data source.
- Client management tools: collaboration features that invite clients, set per-client permissions, collect site comments on the page and hand over only the parts the client may edit.
- Duda App Store: the Duda App Store lists third-party apps for booking, review sites, contact forms and other functions you can add to any Duda website (Duda Support).
- Ecommerce: Duda's ecommerce tools turn a site into an online store. Sell online physical and digital products, services, tickets and donations, with Stripe and PayPal by default, automated tax through Avalara, shipping through Easyship and 0% transaction fees on Duda's side (Duda eCommerce).
- AI tools and SEO tools: the AI Assistant writes and rewrites content, creates sections and alt text and supports SEO, and Duda Vibe builds custom apps from a chat.
- Custom widgets: Duda lets developers add their own widgets with HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the widget builder when the built-in elements are not enough.
- Hosting and performance: hosting on a global CDN with built-in image and asset optimization, SSL and a custom domain on paid plans.
- Multilingual sites: add languages and a language switcher to one Duda website.
- Duda University: free courses and webinars on building and selling websites.
Duda pricing
Duda has no free plan. The prices below come from the Duda pricing page as of September 2026; annual billing saves up to 25%.
- Basic plan: $19 per month billed annually, $25 monthly. One website, 3 team seats, email support.
- Team plan: $29 per month billed annually, $39 monthly. One website, 6 team seats, client management, email, chat and screen share support.
- Agency plan: $52 per month billed annually, $69 monthly. Up to four websites included, 6 team seats, white label client access, website export and priority support.
- White Label plan: $149 per month billed annually, $199 monthly. Up to four websites, a fully white label platform and 24/7 VIP support.
- Custom plan: quoted by sales for high volumes and API access. The custom plan also opens the eComm API for other payment providers.
Extra sites cost $19 per month on the Basic plan and $17 per month on the team plan, agency plan and higher. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Client accounts are unlimited and separate from team seats. Duda's pricing page lists email, chat and screen share support on the team plan and up; some reviews also describe chat and phone support on higher tiers.
The cost surprise to check is that the plan price covers the account, while each extra live site adds a monthly fee, and ecommerce is a separate add-on per site. Third-party reviews list store add-ons from about $7.25 a month billed annually for 100 products up to about $39 for large catalogs. For an agency, the real Duda cost is the plan plus one site fee per client site plus any store add-ons. The agency plan is usually the better deal once you run more than one Duda site.
Advanced features for agencies: client management and white label
Client management is what makes Duda different from other builders. These management features put every client website, its plan and its publish status in one dashboard. You can build a test site, share a preview link, collect site comments and then publish to the client's custom domain in just a few clicks. Permissions decide which pages and widgets a client may change, so a client can update text and images without breaking the design.
The white label plan replaces Duda's branding with the agency's own in the site builder, the login page and client emails, so a web designer can present the platform as their own. Agencies resell websites as a monthly subscription and keep the margin. Duda University covers these workflows, and the REST API lets larger teams automate site creation from templates.
Duda's AI tools and Duda Vibe
Duda offers AI tools inside the editor. The AI Assistant writes page copy, rewrites text in another tone, generates new sections and alt text, and helps with SEO titles and descriptions. The AI SEO assistant suggests improvements per page.
Duda Vibe is a separate product. You describe a website, client portal, dashboard, booking system or calculator in a chat, and Vibe builds it, including a database and user login (Duda Vibe). Vibe is available on all Duda plans and uses the plan's AI credits. Projects built in Vibe cannot be moved to the regular Duda editor, and the other way round, so choose the tool before you start.
Duda vs Wix, Squarespace and WordPress
For agencies, Duda is often the better choice than Wix: Duda offers client permissions, white label and bulk site management that Wix only partly offers, plus Instant Websites that generate a first draft from a business's details. For a single owner who wants a free plan and a large app market, Wix is the easier choice. Duda or Squarespace comes down to the same split: Squarespace suits one design-led site, Duda suits many client sites. Against WordPress, Duda trades flexibility for control. WordPress has far more plugins and themes and can be self-hosted, while Duda handles hosting, security and updates for you and gives clients a simpler editor. Duda is also a hosted CMS: pages, collections, a blog and dynamic pages are managed in the platform, without separate hosting.
Where Duda shines — and where it falls short
Strengths:
- Built for agencies: client management, permissions, white label and one dashboard for multiple sites.
- Fast, responsive websites with hosting and performance optimization included.
- Flexible editor with Flex mode, dynamic pages and reusable sections.
- Ecommerce, multilingual sites and AI tools in one platform.
Trade-offs:
- No free plan, and costs grow with every client site and store add-on; stores that want to sell online at scale pay for a higher ecommerce tier.
- The App Store is smaller than the WordPress plugin library.
- Blogging and marketing tools, such as newsletters, are basic.
- A learning curve for beginners compared with most website builders aimed at one site.
How Duda compares
- Wix: the all-round website builder with a free plan and a large app market.
- Squarespace: design-led sites for one business or creator.
- WordPress: the open-source CMS with the biggest plugin library, self-hosted or managed.
- Webflow: a visual builder with fine design control and a strong CMS for designers.
- Framer: fast, animated marketing sites for startups and designers.
- HubSpot CMS: a CMS tied to HubSpot's CRM and marketing tools.
- Weebly: a simple, low-cost builder for small business sites.
Is Duda worth it?
Duda is worth it for web agencies, freelancers and SaaS platforms that build many sites and want client management, white label and hosting from one vendor. The Agency plan with up to four websites is the usual starting point, and the per-site fee is predictable to pass on to clients. It is less of a fit for a hobbyist who wants a free site, or for a project that needs a large plugin library or full code ownership, where WordPress or Webflow fit better. If you want help to build client sites on Duda or move an existing site, the website agencies and developers on LowCodeDevs can take it on.
