No-code browser automation and web scraping in Chrome or the cloud

Automation · Workflow automation

Axiom (axiom.ai) is a no-code browser automation tool that runs bots in Chrome or the cloud to scrape websites, fill forms and enter data.

Overview

Axiom review

This Axiom review covers what the browser automation tool does, its key features, Axiom pricing and runtime, where it shines and falls short, and how it compares with other automation software. Axiom is a Chrome extension and cloud service from Axiom AI Limited, a London company founded in 2019 and backed by Y Combinator (Y Combinator). You install the free Chrome extension, open the builder and create an automation step by step, record your clicks and replay them, or describe the task in plain English and let an AI model assemble the steps. It then runs locally in your own browser or on hosted servers, on a schedule or from a webhook.

What is Axiom used for?

Axiom automates the repetitive things people do in a web browser. Typical things to automate are web scraping into a Google Sheet, filling in the same form for every row of a spreadsheet or CSV file, copying data between web apps that have no API, downloading reports, posting listings, taking a screenshot of a page and watching a website for changes. It is a kind of robotic process automation (RPA) for the browser: the bot clicks, types and reads a website the way a person would, so it works on websites that other software cannot integrate with. Simple scrapers take a few minutes to build; a multi-step process with logins and loops takes longer.

Most users are operations, sales and marketing teams, recruiters and small companies without developers who want software to handle the dull parts of the job. Developers use it too, because bots can include real code, Axiom offers APIs for browser control and bot runs, and it works with Puppeteer.

Key features

  • No-code builder: add steps such as open page, click, type, scrape data, take a screenshot, loop through rows and conditional logic in the Chrome extension.
  • AI steps: describe what the automation should do in a sentence and AI builds the steps, or use an AI model such as ChatGPT or Gemini to read, classify or extract data from a page.
  • Web scraping: point and click at the data, including lists across several pages, and write it to Google Sheets or a CSV file; scrapers can also save a screenshot of each page.
  • Form filling and data entry: take each row of a sheet and enter it into a web form.
  • Local and server runs: run locally in your own browser with your logins, or on Axiom's servers so your computer can stay off.
  • Scheduling and triggers: cloud schedules from daily to every 15 minutes, depending on the plan, plus webhooks and an API to start runs.
  • Integrations: Zapier, Make, n8n, ChatGPT, Gemini and 2Captcha, plus Chrome, Step and Orchestrate APIs for developers (axiom.ai).
  • Two-factor logins: 2FA and TOTP steps for bots that log in by themselves.

Axiom pricing

Axiom charges by runtime: the hours your bots spend running each month. The plans below come from the Axiom pricing page as of September 2026.

  • Free trial: 2 hours of runtime for new accounts, no credit card needed.
  • Starter: $15 a month, 5 hours of runtime, 1 cloud bot at a time, 1-hour cloud run limit, community support. No webhooks, API or integrations.
  • Pro: $50 a month, 30 hours, webhooks and API, Zapier and Make, daily cloud scheduling, email support.
  • Pro Max: $150 a month, 100 hours, 2 cloud bots at a time, hourly scheduling, 3-hour run limit.
  • Ultimate: $250 a month, 250 hours, 20 cloud bots at a time, 15-minute scheduling, team accounts, priority support.

Local runs have no concurrency limit, but they count toward the monthly runtime usage just like server runs. Only successful runs count (Axiom FAQ).

The cost surprise to check is how long each run takes. A slow site, long waits or scraping many pages burns hours fast, and the Starter plan has no API or integrations at all. Time one real run on the free hours, multiply by how often it must run, and pick the plan from that.

No-code web scraping on your computer or in the cloud

Locally, the automation uses your own browser session on your computer, so it is already logged in to the websites you use. A single local run has no time limit, but the machine must stay on. On the vendor's servers, it runs on a schedule; logins come from stored session cookies or from login steps, and cookies expire, so long-running scheduled automations need occasional attention. Comparison pages by competitors also point out that step-based bots can break when a website changes its layout. That is true for every browser automation tool that clicks on page elements; run recording on Pro and higher lets you replay a failed run, watch the recording and find the failing step. Keep scrapers easy to repair: one clear purpose per bot and short instructions per step.

Where Axiom shines — and where it falls short

Strengths:

  • Automates websites that have no API, with simple no-code steps.
  • Runs locally with your own logins, or in the cloud on a schedule.
  • AI builds a first bot from a plain English description.
  • Low entry price and free hours to try it.

Trade-offs:

  • Runtime pricing is hard to predict for slow or large scraping jobs.
  • Automations break when a website redesigns and need to be fixed by hand.
  • Starter has no webhooks, API or integrations.
  • Chrome only; heavy jobs run better in code or a dedicated scraping service.

How Axiom compares

  • Zapier: connects apps through their APIs; use Axiom where a website has no API.
  • Make and n8n: visual workflow automation that can start Axiom runs through webhooks.
  • UiPath and Automation Anywhere: enterprise RPA for desktop and browser at a much higher price.
  • Microsoft Power Automate: Microsoft's cloud flows plus desktop RPA, strongest inside Microsoft 365.
  • Parabola: data workflows on spreadsheets and APIs rather than browser clicks.

Is Axiom worth it?

Axiom is worth it for small teams that repeat the same browser work every week, such as scraping, data entry or form filling on sites without an API. The 2 free hours are enough to record and test one real automation, and the Pro plan covers most small business jobs. It is less of a fit for large scraping at scale, for sites that change often, or for companies that need enterprise RPA governance. If you want help to build or maintain browser automation bots, the automation agencies and developers on LowCodeDevs can take it on.

Questions

Axiom FAQ

Is Axiom.ai free to use?

Axiom gives new accounts 2 free hours of runtime without a credit card. After that, paid plans start at $15 a month for 5 hours.

What is the price of Axiom Pro?

Axiom Pro costs $50 a month for 30 hours of runtime, with webhooks, API access, Zapier and Make integrations and daily cloud scheduling.

What is Axiom automation?

Axiom automation means no-code bots that click, type and scrape in a web browser, running in Chrome on your computer or in Axiom's cloud.

What is the best browser automation tool?

For no-code browser automation on sites without an API, Axiom is a strong choice for small teams. Enterprise teams often choose UiPath or Power Automate, and developers use Puppeteer or Playwright in code.

Where is Axiom AI located?

Axiom AI Limited is based in London, United Kingdom. It was founded in 2019 and joined Y Combinator in the Winter 2021 batch.

Is Axiom worth it?

Yes for teams that repeat browser tasks every week on sites without an API. Less so for large scraping jobs or sites that change often, where runtime and repairs add up.
