Greyd.Suite
Block-editor toolkit for building and managing many WordPress websites
Greyd.Suite is a WordPress plugin and block theme for agencies and companies that build and manage many websites from one backend.
Overview
Greyd.Suite review
This Greyd.Suite review covers what the suite is used for, its key features, Greyd.Suite pricing in October 2026, how Greyd.Hub and Global Content work across sites, where it shines and falls short, and how it compares with other website builders. Greyd.Suite is made by GREYD GmbH in Munich, Germany, and launched in 2019 (About Greyd). It is not a separate page builder: it extends the WordPress content management system and its block editor with a plugin, a block theme and modules for forms, popups, dynamic content and multi-site management. Editors keep working in the familiar WordPress backend, while the suite replaces the stack of separate WordPress plugins agencies otherwise maintain — Greyd positions that as less technical debt and maintenance overhead per site.
What is Greyd.Suite used for?
Greyd.Suite is used to build and run groups of websites on WordPress: agency client sites, franchise and multi-location networks, multi-brand corporate sites, landing page clusters and intranet-style portals with gated content. Typical users are web design agencies, freelancers who publish several websites a year, and marketing teams in small and mid-sized companies.
On a single site it works as a block-based site builder: you design templates, headers and patterns in the Site Editor and fill pages with content. On a network it becomes a management layer: Greyd.Hub creates, stages and backs up sites, and Global Content shares posts between them. User roles can limit editors to content only, so a client or branch can edit text and images without changing the design.
Key features
- Greyd Theme (Greyd WP): a responsive block theme for Full Site Editing with global styles for buttons, fluid font sizes, spacing presets, and close to 100 patterns and templates (WordPress.org).
- Greyd Plugin: the core plugin with extra blocks such as the Post Table, extensions to the WordPress core blocks, and advanced search.
- Dynamic Post Types and Dynamic Templates: define your own post types with fields, then display them through templates; content defined once appears in every template that uses it.
- Dynamic Content: fill blocks with data from posts, fields and settings instead of typing it on every page.
- Greyd.Forms: a form builder with blocks, conditional fields, native double opt-in and connections to Salesforce, HubSpot, Samdock, Zapier, webhooks and CSV export.
- Greyd.Popups: popups and overlays for campaigns and lead capture.
- Global Content and Global Search: sync content between websites and search across them.
- Greyd.Hub and Site Connector: manage single sites and multisites from one dashboard.
- User Management and Gated Content: custom user roles and members-only content.
- Accessibility features and custom code: add CSS, HTML or JavaScript, including global snippets.
Greyd.Suite pricing
Greyd.Suite can be downloaded for free and tested without a time limit; the free version covers the basic features, and a licence removes the watermark on published sites and unlocks advanced features (FAQ). Prices from the pricing page (October 2026, in USD, excluding tax; EUR prices are offered too):
- Single License: $99 one-time, one website key, Greyd Theme and Greyd Plugin, updates for 1 year.
- Starter: $79 a month, or $71 a month billed annually; 12 websites per year, Global Content, Global Search and Gated Content, personal support and onboarding.
- Growth: $299 a month, or $269 a month billed annually; one multisite with up to 50 websites, plus User Management and Frontend Post Forms.
- Scale: $499 a month, or $449 a month billed annually; synchronized multisite networks with hundreds of websites, plus Site Connector, staging sites and Global Content clusters.
The usage metric is the number of websites per licence key; one key covers every site in your plan, and the backend shows your usage. The cost surprise to check: the subscriptions are monthly fees, so a small agency on Starter pays about $850 a year, far more than a single-site page builder licence, and the annual discount requires a 12-month contract. Hosting is not included. The OMR Reviews listing still shows older plans (Basic, Freelancer, Corporate, Agency) that were last edited in April 2022; the plans above replace them.
Greyd Theme: block editor patterns and global styles
The design side of Greyd.Suite lives in the Greyd Theme and its Global Styles panel (Greyd docs: Global Styles). Buttons come in three variants — Primary, Secondary and Alternate — each with its own colors or gradient, border, radius, shadow and hover state, plus Large and Small size presets. Input fields get two variants with label styles, so forms match the buttons. Spacing follows a five-step scale from Tiny to Extra Large with fluid clamp values, and the grid settings define the content width, the wide width and the small, medium and large breakpoints that responsive blocks use. Colors and layout widths stay in the WordPress core Global Styles. The free Greyd WP version on WordPress.org ships 8 style variations and has more than 300 active installations.
The theme's pattern library is large for a block theme: its source code holds 98 patterns. They are grouped by purpose:
- Header and footer patterns: simple, centered, right-aligned and advanced headers, footers with menus or three columns, light and dark.
- Hero patterns: cover boxes with one or two buttons, split backgrounds, an image on the right, and a hero with search and the latest posts.
- Columns patterns: feature boxes, four topics in tiles, image and text columns, FAQ columns and two-column calls to action — 19 layouts in total.
- Call-to-action, pricing and testimonial patterns: CTA boxes with one or two buttons, pricing tables with three columns and a highlighted middle plan, testimonial boxes in a row.
- Content and posts patterns: author, post and quote cards, key figures, the latest posts in a row or a list.
- Page and template patterns: About, Blog, Contact and Pricing pages, single post templates and three 404 pages.
You browse the patterns in the block inserter, add a section to a landing page, and replace the image and text; the global styles keep every header, row and button consistent.
The plugin adds blocks that core WordPress lacks. The Post Table block, for example, lists posts from a query in a table: each post is a row, you add, remove and reorder the columns, make columns sortable on the frontend, show custom fields with dynamic tags, and set column widths or hide columns per breakpoint (Greyd docs: Post Table). Combined with dynamic post types, this turns structured information — locations, team members, events — into lists and tables that display different content depending on the context of the page.
Greyd.Hub and Global Content for multi-site setups
Greyd.Hub is a central dashboard for all your websites: it shows admins, plugins and domains per site, creates new sites, changes domains and SSL settings, and makes one-click backups. Each site can have a staging version where you test design changes and plugins before pushing them live. You can export a complete site, or only its design settings, content, media or plugins, and import it elsewhere — useful for starting a new client site from a proven setup. The Site Connector adds remote single sites and multisites to the same dashboard.
Global Content shares posts between websites. A root post is edited in one place and appears as a linked post on other sites; local edits to linked posts are blocked by default so the content stays consistent across the network, and optional post reviews notify editors by email (Greyd docs). Combined with user roles, a head office can control the brand and legal texts while each location edits its own pages.
Getting started and requirements
Download the plugin from the download page, install it on any WordPress installation and activate the Greyd Theme, or keep another block theme. The Greyd installer can create a child theme. The web server must run Apache with mod_rewrite or Nginx; WordPress hosting from any provider works, and Greyd recommends managed cloud hosting for larger networks. The backend and the Helpcenter are available in English and German, and translation plugins such as WPML, Polylang and Weglot are supported. No coding skills are needed, but expect a learning curve: the suite has many options, and multisite concepts take time. Every subscription includes a 1-on-1 onboarding where the Greyd team builds the first project with you, and the Helpcenter and Academy tutorials cover the rest.
Where Greyd.Suite shines — and where it falls short
Strengths:
- Built on the WordPress block editor, so sites stay native WordPress without a proprietary page builder layer.
- Strong multi-site tools: Greyd.Hub, staging, export and Global Content in one suite.
- Full control over who can edit what, through user roles and content-only editing.
- Personal support and onboarding on every subscription, plus GDPR-minded forms with double opt-in.
Trade-offs:
- Subscription prices are aimed at agencies and networks, not at a single small website.
- A smaller ecosystem than Elementor or plain WordPress: fewer tutorials, templates and third-party add-ons.
- Fewer prebuilt blocks than some page builders, and a learning curve at setup.
- The advanced features are tied to the licence, so removing the suite later means rebuilding those parts.
How Greyd.Suite compares
- WordPress: the platform Greyd.Suite runs on; core WordPress with a free block theme costs nothing but lacks the multi-site management tools.
- Elementor: the most common WordPress page builder, cheaper for one site, with its own editor instead of the block editor.
- Webflow: a hosted visual builder with its own CMS, no WordPress plugins or multisite.
- Duda: a hosted builder for agencies that manage many client sites, without WordPress.
- Wix: an all-in-one hosted builder for single small websites.
- HubSpot CMS: a hosted CMS tied to HubSpot's marketing tools.
Is Greyd.Suite worth it?
Greyd.Suite is worth it for agencies, franchises and companies that run many WordPress websites and want one block-based setup, shared content and central management instead of a stack of separate plugins. The free version lets you decide before you pay, and the Single License covers one site for a one-time fee. It is a weaker choice for a single small site on a tight budget, for teams that prefer a large page builder ecosystem, or for anyone who does not want to run WordPress. The WordPress agencies and developers on LowCodeDevs can build your Greyd.Suite network, migrate existing sites or take over a project.
