Taskade
AI workspace for projects, tasks, notes, AI agents and prompt-built apps
Taskade is an AI workspace where small teams manage projects and tasks, run AI agents and build simple apps from one prompt.
Overview
Taskade review
This Taskade review covers what Taskade is used for, its key features, Taskade pricing and AI credits, Taskade Genesis, where it shines and falls short, and how it compares with other tools. Taskade started as a collaborative task list and outliner and has grown into an AI workspace: projects, task lists, notes and mind maps live next to AI agents, automations and apps you generate from a prompt. Everything sits in one workspace, so the data an agent or app uses is the same data your team edits. Taskade offers this for teams that want fewer tools: one app for tasks, notes, agents and simple internal systems instead of five.
What is Taskade used for?
Taskade is used for project management, task management and team collaboration in small teams: planning a launch, running a content calendar, tracking client work, writing meeting notes and turning them into task lists. Remote teams use its real time collaboration and built-in chat to work in one place. Freelancers and agencies use Taskade as a light client portal or to keep one system per client, and many teams use Taskade to manage recurring tasks and team routines.
Taskade now also positions itself as an AI app builder. With Taskade Genesis you describe what you need in one prompt, for example a CRM, a lead tracker or an internal dashboard, and Taskade generates a live app on top of your workspace data, with AI agents and automations wired in. That makes it a no-code option for simple internal tools and internal systems, not only a to-do app.
Key features: how Taskade works
- Projects in many views: list, board, table, calendar, timeline, Gantt, mind map and org chart views over the same project. Assign tasks, set due dates and assign owners.
- Note taking and documents: projects double as documents and outlines, so meeting notes, briefs, ideas and task lists live together in one workspace.
- AI agents: custom AI agents trained on your projects and documents that answer questions, draft content and run follow-ups. Multi-agent teams are available on the Business plan.
- Taskade Genesis: the AI app builder. One prompt creates an app, such as a tracker, portal or dashboard, that you can edit, share, clone or publish.
- Automations: workflow automation with triggers and actions, for example when a task changes status or a form is submitted, across 100+ integrations such as Slack, Gmail and Google Sheets.
- AI models and AI assistants: the paid plans give access to more than 15 AI models, so the AI features for chat, writing and agents can use the model that fits each task.
- Apps everywhere: web, desktop and mobile apps, with real-time sync between them.
Taskade pricing and the free plan
Taskade prices plans per workspace, not per user, and meters AI use in AI credits. The details below come from the Taskade pricing page as of September 2026, with prices billed annually.
- Free: $0. 2 users, 6,000 AI credits once, up to 3 AI apps, 1 AI agent, 3 automations, 250 MB of storage.
- Pro: $10 a month ($120 a year). 10 users, 50,000 AI credits a month, unlimited apps, agents and automations, 100 GB of storage, 15+ AI models, 100+ integrations, no "Powered by Taskade" badge.
- Business: $25 a month ($300 a year). Unlimited users, 150,000 AI credits a month, AI teams, custom domains, white-label branding, SAML SSO, API access and advanced analytics, 1 TB of storage.
- Max: $100 a month ($1,200 a year). 400,000 AI credits a month and autonomous, always-on agents.
- Enterprise: custom pricing with 1.1 million AI credits a month, SCIM, bring-your-own API keys and dedicated onboarding.
Taskade says annual billing saves 50%, so paying month to month costs roughly twice as much.
The cost surprise to check is AI credits. Every AI chat, agent run, app build and AI automation uses credits, and heavy agent or Genesis use can use up a plan's monthly allowance quickly. The free plan's credits are a one-time grant, not monthly. The flat team pricing is generous compared with per-seat tools, but plan the AI workload before you pick a tier.
Taskade Genesis: the AI app builder
Taskade Genesis turns one prompt into a live app inside your workspace. It creates the project structure, the views, AI agents and automations the app needs, and you can keep editing it by prompt or by hand. Typical Genesis apps are CRMs, lead trackers, client portals, booking forms, dashboards and team capacity planners. You can publish an app, share it with a link, put it on a custom domain on the Business plan, or clone apps from the community gallery as a starting point.
Genesis apps work best as internal tools and simple client-facing forms and portals. They run on Taskade's workspace data rather than a separate database, so they are not a replacement for a full app builder when you need complex data models, custom code or native mobile apps.
Getting started: your first project in Taskade
Sign up, create a workspace and invite your team; setup takes minutes. Start a new project from a template, from a prompt or from a blank list, then pick the view that fits: a list for task management, a board for project planning, a mind map for ideas. Add tasks, assign owners and due dates, and keep meeting notes in the same project so note taking and tasks stay together. Once the structure works, add an AI agent that knows the project, then automations for the repeat work. Taskade works best when each team keeps its projects, tasks and tools in the same workspace. Teams that use Taskade this way end up with one system per team or client, which doubles as light knowledge management.
Taskade AI agents and automations
AI agents in Taskade are assistants you train on your projects, documents and links. You give each agent a role and tools, and it can answer questions, write and update tasks, summarize meeting notes or run follow-ups on a schedule. On the Business plan, multi-agent teams let several agents work on one task. Automations connect this to the rest of your stack: triggers such as a new form entry, a status change or a schedule start actions in Taskade or in other apps.
Where Taskade shines — and where it falls short
Strengths:
- One workspace for projects, notes, AI agents, automations and apps.
- Flat workspace pricing with 10 users on Pro and unlimited users on Business.
- Many views over the same project, including mind maps and Gantt.
- Fast from idea to a working internal tool with Taskade Genesis.
Trade-offs:
- AI credit limits decide how far agents and Genesis scale.
- Lighter project management than dedicated tools: advanced reporting and task dependencies are limited.
- Genesis apps are not full custom apps; complex data models need another platform.
- Frequent product changes mean features and plan names move quickly.
How Taskade compares with other project management tools
- Notion: a docs-first workspace with databases; stronger for wikis and long-form notes.
- ClickUp: heavier project management with dependencies, time tracking and reporting.
- Coda: docs that behave like apps, with formulas and automations.
- Airtable: a relational database with interfaces for structured data.
- Smartsheet: spreadsheet-style project management for larger organizations.
- Fibery: a configurable work-management workspace for product teams.
Is Taskade worth it?
Taskade is worth it for small teams and freelancers who want projects, notes, AI agents and simple internal tools in one workspace at a flat price. The Pro plan covers a team of ten for less than many tools charge for two seats. It is less of a fit for teams that need deep project management reporting, strict task dependencies or full custom apps, and heavy AI users should check the credit allowance first. If you want help setting up workspaces, agents or apps, the low-code agencies and developers on LowCodeDevs can take it on.
