Overview

Giosg review

This Giosg review covers what the live chat and AI software does, its key features, Giosg pricing, integrations, security, where it shines and falls short, and how it compares with other tools. Giosg, based in Helsinki, Finland, started in 2011 as a live chat company, and review sites still list the product as Giosg Live Chat. Today it sells one platform for every customer interaction on a website: AI agents that answer everyday requests, giosg Live for human agents on chat, video, phone and WhatsApp, and interactive content such as lead forms, quizzes and pop-ups. In 2023 Giosg bought Whisbi, a Spanish live shopping and video vendor (AIN).

What is Giosg Live Chat used for?

Giosg is used by mid market and enterprise businesses that want to automate customer support, convert website visitors into leads and help human agents chat with customers and sell more. Typical use cases are customer support automation, lead generation for automotive and real estate, shopping assistance in retail, and internal support for employees. Customers named on the vendor site include Kesko, Telia, Hyundai, Vattenfall, Stellantis and Ålandsbanken, and the platform is strongest in the Nordics and the rest of Europe.

A common setup is an AI agent that handles everyday requests on the website, with a handover to human agents in the live chat when a customer needs a person. Agents see which page the visitor is on and what is in the shopping cart, so a support chat can turn into a sale. Marketing teams add interactive content and lead forms on high-traffic pages, and the data collected flows into the CRM.

Giosg Live Chat key features

  • AI agents: trained on website URLs, internal documents and chat logs, and connected to systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Shopify to look up live data and act in them. The vendor says an agent answers in 70+ languages from a knowledge base built once in one language (giosg AI Agent).
  • giosg Live: the live chat software for human agents, with chat, video calls, telephony and WhatsApp in one UI, with smart routing by availability, language, page and business hours, moderated AI reply suggestions and real-time reporting (giosg Live Chat).
  • Interaction Builder: a visual builder for rule-based chatbots, lead generation forms, quizzes and pop-ups, with targeting and A/B testing.
  • Video and live shopping: one-to-one video and shoppable video, extended by the Whisbi acquisition.
  • Agentic search and analytics: conversational search on your website and reporting on conversations, leads and conversions.
  • Integrations: Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Genesys Cloud and an API for custom integration with other systems.
  • Mobile app: a giosg app for iOS lets agents answer chats from a phone (App Store).

Giosg pricing

Giosg does not sell seats. According to the giosg pricing page (September 2026), pricing is value-based: you pay for results against thresholds agreed upfront, such as automation rate, lead volume or sales. AI agents and support automation start at €790 a month. The final price depends on scope, integrations and expected volumes, and there is a one-time setup or project fee. There is no free plan and no self-serve trial. You request a free demo, then a discovery call and a PreStudy that maps your processes and business needs.

The cost surprise to check is the project fee and the agreed thresholds. Ask how the price changes when conversation volume grows, and which integrations are in the first project. Review sites that list prices "from $10 to $100" per month describe old seat-based plans, not today's model.

Giosg Live Chat integrations

Giosg integrates with the systems a support and sales team already uses. Native integrations cover Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk and Genesys Cloud, so chats, leads and customer data land in the CRM or help desk without copy-paste. The AI agent connects to Salesforce, HubSpot and Shopify to fetch live order or account data and act in those systems. For other software there is an API and custom integration work, which is usually part of the PreStudy and the one-time project fee. Check which integrations your first project includes before you agree on the price.

Implementation and security

Giosg delivers the AI agent as a managed project in six steps: PreStudy, build, test, launch, optimize and expand. The pricing page says a typical AI agent goes live in about two weeks, while the AI agent page says the first version usually takes four weeks, so plan for two to four. You can start small with one use case and expand later.

Security is a selling point for European buyers. Giosg is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, runs its AI services in the EU and stores data only in the EU. AI guardrails limit answers to your approved knowledge, and giosg VAULT encrypts sensitive chat data.

Where Giosg shines — and where it falls short

Strengths:

  • AI agents, live chat, video and interactive content on one platform, so customers and website visitors get one experience.
  • EU data storage, ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance for regulated industries.
  • Value-based pricing instead of paying per agent seat, so more users do not raise the price.
  • A managed launch process with the vendor's own expertise.

Trade-offs:

  • No public price list, no free plan and no self-serve setup.
  • A €790 monthly starting point is high for small businesses.
  • Smaller brand, community and app ecosystem than Intercom or HubSpot.
  • Support and references are strongest in Europe.

How Giosg compares

  • Intercom: a larger global customer service platform with the Fin AI agent and self-serve plans.
  • HubSpot: live chat and chatbots inside a full CRM and marketing suite.
  • Crisp: an affordable shared inbox and chatbot for small businesses.
  • ChatBot: a self-serve AI chatbot builder with monthly plans.
  • Landbot: no-code conversational forms and chatbots for lead generation.
  • Chatfuel: chatbots for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.

Is Giosg worth it?

The main benefits are measurable: fewer support tickets for human agents, more leads from the same traffic and better conversions in sales chats. Giosg is worth it for mid-market and enterprise companies in Europe that want AI agents and live chat software on one platform, need EU data storage, and prefer a managed project over building it themselves. The value-based model makes sense when you can measure automation or leads. It is less of a fit for small businesses, for teams that want a self-serve tool with a monthly card payment, or for companies whose customers are mostly outside Europe. If you want help comparing platforms or connecting a chat or AI agent to your systems, the low-code agencies and developers on LowCodeDevs can take it on.
